Randall Dyer & Associates, is a small, privately held corporation, located in Jefferson City, Tennessee, about 25 miles east of Knoxville.
We specialize in the high quality construction of electric-action pipe organs, and in selective rebuilding of existing instruments in line with 21st century expectations.
After a contract has been negotiated, but long before the final product appears on site, the conception of each organ starts in our Engineering Department. Every one, regardless of size, is rendered in a complete set of drawings, frequently broken down into smaller shop drawings of individual parts.
With the exception of pipes and electrical equipment, all the parts of our organs are made in our well-equipped shop. Starting with rough boards of select hard wood and high-quality veneer panels, we build our Blackinton-style slider-and-pallet chests, consoles, wind systems, framing and casework ourselves, in house.
While it would be possible to procure much of this equipment from outside sources, our procedure insures the strict quality control we want over the end product.

Pipework, which is custom made to our exacting specifications by the world's leading pipe-makers, is scaled and voiced here for the specific installation under the supervision of our Tonal Director, Bradley E. Jones.
The plans are forwarded to our Cabinet Department personnel, who have years of experience in creating outstandingly handsome organ and console cases. Materials are generally selected to match other woodwork at the installation site. On completion, each part of the organ is carefully stained and finished.
Pipe chests, wind reservoirs, expression shades, and myriad small parts come together in our Erecting Room, where each organ is totally assembled and tested.
Afterward, the parts are numbered, dismantled and carefully packed in our truck, which has been especially outfitted for the safe shipment of pipe organs.

On-site installation and tonal regulation work is done by the same personnel who built the organ in our shop, under the personal supervision of Randall Dyer.
Upon completion, each new instrument carries a 10-year Warranty against defects in material and workmanship. To further insure your complete satisfaction, our Service Department is available for regular follow-up tuning and maintenance.

We believe the finest organ building in America today is being done in small shops such as ours. While our production is only 3-5 organs per year, we have over 90 organs in service in 15 states.
We see our size as an asset which enables us to give more attention to the small details which will actually make your organ a true custom installation -- details which may be overlooked in a large factory.

Over the years we have done very little advertising, relying almost completely on word-of-mouth recommendations from satisfied clients.
Our reputation has been established offering well-conceived instruments for clients desiring a better-than-average organ. With a particular emphasis on instruments for church service use, our organs are well known for their unusually well-blended full, rich, and cohesive sound - a sound which compels congregations to sing heartily, but does not obliterate them.
